Within my family, we have about 5 computers that would use ethernet cables, and at least 4 devices that would use wifi.

I even used a switch to split that single connection to 3 other ones and the speed seems unaffected.

I'm not 100% sure what my family's rated speeds are supposed to be, but with a direct ethernet cable from the router to my computer, I get 100mbps download and 50mbps upload maximum. Been wanting to build one for a while as an improvement over the one I have now that Optimum gave my family when we complained that out connection wasn't good.
